Weekend BBQ at Home! Burgers RULE.
When I hit the front door at 5pm, I grab the meat from the fridge, toss it on the counter, go straight out back, turn on the grill, then come back inside to take off my golf shoes and change clothes!
This is a simple one. The art of the BBQ Burger Plate. Everyone eats the same way. Everyone LOVES it.
Give this some thought. A drive thru meal was $6 plus so for four people that totals $25. A package of burgers at Walmart is $6, accompaniments are multi use for more than one meal. It's NOT expensive to eat well. Boom.
Get out some lettuce, break off some whole large leaves, one or two per plate. Slice a tomato, one or two slices per plate. A few pickle slices per plate. A few rings of onion per plate. I will occasionally sauté sliced onions in olive oil and seasonings as a decadent topping. Some avocado occasionally. A squiggle of mustard and squirt of ketchup. Perfect!
I often have a container of Ruby French Dressing in my fridge - in that case a drizzle over everything on my plate - then I cut it all up into a burger salad! The BEST.
These are all burger plates on my table, same idea, different nights! The paper wrapped ones are from a night we had guests. I had a basket of buns, but no one used them... slim people to boot, who would have thunk it!
